Hello Don: Its' been awhile since I've been able to post a comment, though I still enjoy the new items as they have come along to this great web-site. In regards to this funeral home, in my research I have some updated information. This funeral home was built by George I. Baumgartner, General Contractor, 15221 NE 21st Avenue, North Miami Beach. According to an ad in The Voice, February 26, 1965, it held open house February 27th and 28th 1965. The three partners were: Barton H. Bennett, Charles H. Ulm and Edward C. McBride. Some years later it was known briefly as just Bennett & Ulm Funeral Home and finally as Bennett & Sons Funeral Home. In more recent years the Bennett name was attached with the Lithgow and Philbrick name on a corporate owned funeral home near Southern Memorial Park.

I heard that Mr. Bennet was in the original Black Sheep Squadron during WWII.
