How they were put there. I used the lasso feathered 4 pixels to make a loose selection around the outside of the eyes, including fur. I pasted each eye on a separate layer. Then I used layer masks to paint through the fur so that the marks above the eyes were in the right place. (click on "previous" to see the image from which the eyes were "borrowed".
