27Feb11Hf.jpg

Sitting quietly on a siding near Penrith Railway Station is this old anachronism. It is a rusting
water tank once used for steam locomotives. From time to time, on weekends, enthusiast groups
and tourist excursion operators bring antique trains onto the tracks - usually running up and down
the Blue Mountains line between here and Mt Victoria, where another such tank awaits.

Can't help but admire the craftsmanship that went into its construction which this shot picks out very nicely.

I also get drawn to these old industrial artefacts, they have more 'soul' than many modern things.

A whole other world if you just look up.

You certainly have the ability to see the detail in the big picture. Well done. V
