Pittsburgh, PA

During lunch break on the set I was acting as a scenic on this Sunday it stopped pouring rain long enough for me to go outside to shoot. I walked down the street and encountered the friendliest squirrel in Pittsburgh! This little guy let me get right next to him and even came down giving me a sniff! I know it’s another squirrel shot in a plethora of digital squirrel shots but I liked it enough to choose it to represent today.

Fox squirrel, Sciurus niger

It's so clearly shot. I like to color as well.

You have found your calling Ron...The way this picture jumped at me as if I were along side the squirrel myself can only be described as awesome...Would love to join you one day on one of your lazy, peaceful country jaunts...If interested, there is a park close by that I feel you would enjoy tremendously...you know how to contact us...keep up the good work..

Fine detail in this shot Ron!

This is NOT yet another squirrel shot - the background makes this shot great - you have a charcterful squirrel in an urban environment! - and Nikki is right, we don't have many red squirrels in the UK, but we do have them at Fornby Point - see my Liverpool gallery and almsot ran POD last month!

WOW - this shot just pops off the screen! Great capture, Ron!

Wow! Great shot! Almost looks like you got him to say "cheese!" Is it a red squirrel? We don't see many red squirrels in England, the grey ones are bigger and greedier!

This is a great shot. Just enough space around him to show his location.

Nice close-up of a wild animal! Very cool colors in the entire image.

This reminds me of my grandpa who had a way with animals. There was a squirrel that came to his yard every day that he called "Jimmy". Jimmy was very friendly and would jump into Grandpa's lap and eat right out of his hand. Great image, and thanks for bringing that memory back to me -- angela :)

Oh my gosh! An outgoing squirrel. I didn't know they existed. This is absolutely precious! I love it!

Jill, he was a very well fed and happy little fellow. Note the peanut shells just to the right of him... ;-) I think the priest from the church there feeds him.

WOW! This is spectacular! The red is amazing, and the little guy is so cute, staring at you! Nice one!

How facinating! Suppose he has adjusted to humans or you may have that animal aura;)

Good contrast.
