Pittsburgh, PA

A good friend called and offered me a weekend gig as a scenic painter for a commercial being shot locally. The hours were a good and the pay was great! The best part of course was working with some really funny and witty people. We were painting some rooms in an old Catholic elementary school that has been closed for a while. I could hear the ghost of children’s voices throughout the rooms and picture the hustle and bustle that once passed through the halls. I shot this on the main stairwell during lunch break. Another gray and rainy day and it fit my melancholy feel of the place.

I LOVE this one!! The dark atmosphere is really great and adds to the dizzying composition. Nice work -- angela :)

Lovely diagonals make the composition in this one great, and the shadows cast by the window are nice

An excellent angle and lighting makes this one a real beauty.

Nice capture Ron. I like the irregular framing of the stairs.

I love this image - the lighting, the patterns. I read your narrative after I viewed it... and the image definitely conveys the mood you described!
