Colour Collision - Amazing Water Drops
After doing the Milk meets Coffee series - I decided to bring a little more colour into my work. Hope you enjoy these. Thanks for visiting.
BTW, I don't use any sound/photogate triggers for my high speed photography. Just my camera, a pipette or syringe, good eye/shutter finger coordination
and patience, patience, patience.....
I've now added some splash images (top of the gallery) from this year. I hope you enjoy them.
I don't have many because they're difficult to get,
for every one I keep I trash about 500.
Please email me if you are interested in using any of my images.

to know what kind of camera and lens you used.
Keep up the good work.

I have never seen any thing like it before. very artistic and skilful work that gives life to a simple drop of water. I would only describe your work as "beautiful dancing drops".

these are slick, i dont even know how I would even approach these
hat tip and vote for you
These are truly amazing and beautiful images. I recall seeing, quite a few years ago, some similar shots taken with glass beads (marbles) dropped into very fine powders arranged in layers of different colours. The momentary high pressure produced by the impact (similar to a meteor impact on a miniature scale) caused solifluxion in the powder which then behaved like a fluid - maybe you should give it a try?
You are CRAZY! :) Who would ever think of taking pictures like this? These are just amazing! Great job!
This is a great gallery! I beleive you have great sense of patient :) Ciao, Paolo -V-

VOTE!! this photos are great!
fascinating what you get out of this subject! I think in some cases a much tighter crop would be even better for the picture (would emphasize the strange shapes) but for the gallery as a whole this approach is obviously best.
Both this and your "coffee" gallery are just spectacular. A clever idea executed flawlessly. If you don't mind sharing, what other equipment and camera settings are you using? Voted.
