The Fury of Elements.



Comme Ulysse les marins d’Armorique, depuis la nuit des temps, ont dû affronter les vents. À les côtoyer, ils ont appris à les reconnaître, à les utiliser mais aussi à s’en méfier. 
Les vents en Bretagne portent les noms de « Suroît » (Surouas en breton), « Noroît » (Gwalarn en breton), « Nordet (nord-est) », « Suet (sud-est)». Et puis «Kornog» le vent d’Ouest. Il y a aussi le Père Barnard (vent de secteur Ouest) du nom d’un ermite qui selon la légende savait apaiser les tempêtes. Enfin il y a «Ar Gazeg Veurzh» (la jument de Mars), vent tempétueux des grandes marées d’équinoxe dont nous voyons quelques-uns des effets dans cette galerie.


Like Ulysses the sailors of Armorique, from immemorial time, had to face winds. To be next them, they learnt to recognize them, to use them but also to be wary it. 
Winds in Brittany bear the names of "South-wester" (Surouas in Breton), "Northwester" (Gwalarn in Breton), "Nordet" (north east), "Suet" (south-east). And then "Kornog" the West wind. There is also «father Barnard» (wind of sector West) of the name of a hermit who according to the legend knew how to calm storms. Finally there is "Ar Gazeg Veurzh" (a mare of Mars), stormy wind of the equinox’ tides of which we see some of the effects in this gallery.
