Qualified. Yes, you are right about breaking the rule for that reason. Unfortunately, the centering of the subject offsets the tension of the tilt, making it too static. I'd have like to have seen him on the upper right intersection of thirds. See, you broke the rule of thirds and you shouldn't have. Glad you didn't try to claim doing it for good reason!
