Sorry about ***. I was thinking about white background too and I even tried it. Finally I decided to keep it as natural as I found it "by the window". Thanks anyway.
I quite like the composition and lighting on this, but the blackened area to the bottom left is a bit distracting, i'd be tempted to clone it out. I also think it would be nicer if it was very high key i.e. the background was stark white. Just my $0.02 worth. Just realised you didn't put (*) next to your photo, let me know if you want this deleted!
