Waw. Thanks Nugar, what a big improvement! now it has the "punch" you were referring to earlier. And I agree with you and Pops about the DOF. Thank you gentlemen.
While I agree with both aam and Pops, check this out:http://saludbucal.net/gg/ the picture is aam_01.jpg (please complete the url yourself, since now PBase seems to add the image urls as image even without the image tag). I used here the technique described on the URL i posted previously. More than the sharpening, what makes the picture pop up a bit more is the soft light layer. But I do agree that with more DOF it would look better.

To my eyes it's not a black spot that's needed (Don) or more sharpening (Nugar). I think it needs more depth of field (DOF) If you could reshoot it with your camera on a tripod, set the camera in Aperature priority (a) and select about f16. Exposure time will go way up but so will DOF.
And that's what I love about photography. One picture and three different opinions. Which one of is is right? Perhaps we're all right. Hmmm, it could be that we're all wrong as well. The final answer, Aam, is consider our opinions and do what YOU like best which may include leaving the image unchanged.
I like the composition you used here. But to me it seems you need some more punch in this image. I used some Softlight Sharpening and I think it does look better. It is the method described as #1 here:http://www.pbase.com/ctfchallenge/image/31735245
