What a fun image. Was she behind a waterfall? I like her hand coming right through the sheet of water and all the splashes of color. -dtallakson

Oh wow! So well done. I like the angle of the camera and the perfect shutter speed. (Did you experiment much with your setting?) The color, the light, and that great splash off her right hand give the whole composition a great sense of motion.

This is an amazing shot Lydia. My initial reaction was the the girl's expression showed shock, as though she had unexpectedly had a deluge land on her. Your explanation makes it clear that's not the case. Anyway, it's a very striking and well executed photo. Regards Michael
