Great! I imagine you have uncorked quite a few champagne bottles to get this picture :-)

This is really good. I like the composition, too, the way the foam is shooting diagonally across the full frame. -dtallakson

So you got the Moet Chandon out of a pretty cabinet????

Not such "Cheap" champagne. I'm impressed that you used Moet! Now if I was doing it I would have used a bottle of Cooks Champagne and then a composite of a bottle of Dom Perignon, that would be cheap bubble and expensive bottle. Positive thinking but I'm sure it would not turn out as well as this did. I should note here that we have a family tradition every Christmas my oldest son gives his Grandmother a bottle of Dom and we all enjoy it. I keep the bottles!

Well done and I like the set up shot you've got on Flickr.

Thanks all.
You're right - this was a 'one-take' assignment - lots of thinking, checking focus and exposure before pulling the cork on this one. It was a bit of a dance, shaking the bottle, setting it carefully down in my pre-focused zone then waiting on the shutter release. Took quite a bit of shaking - cheap champagne maybe...

This is one you wouldn't want to re-shoot too many times......... or on second thoughts, perhaps you would. Anyway, it's a very clever idea, perfectly executed to produce a striking image. Regards Michael
