In The Dining Room By Berthe Morisot

BERTHE MORISOT
1841 - 1895

One of the female members of the original French Impressionist group. She painted in a loose and colorful brush style. She was known for her paintings of children and home life. She was a protege of the leading master painter, Edouard Manet, with whom she posed for many paintings. She held, in high regard, his guidance in her progression as a painter. She was one of the first women to pave the way into the main avenue of fine arts.
