Historic Chinese Buildings in Hong Kong


Historic buildings are symbols of cultural identity.
The architectural styles and building materials are all governed by
economies, social beliefs, traditions, ideas and cultures.

There are various historic Chinese buildings in Hong Kong.
They reflect Hong Kong's unique cultural identity that blends East with West,
and mark the continuation of Chinese traditions in this cosmopolitan centre.

I would like to make use of this photographic project to study the history of my homeland and
to show the world the building that contrasts sharply with the modern skyscrapers in Hong Kong.

Hi, I am not far away from Hong Kong. I am living in Guangzhou. I always wanted to see discover Hong Kong by hiking to more remote areas, away from the dense urban places. Unfortunately I have not yet done it.
Your images are a great inspiration for me.
