All in Heaven

My Aunt Ethel died last night, aged 94.

Unfortunately, I don't have a stand alone portrait of her, but here she is on the right.
On the left is my Aunt Lil, and in the centre their cousin Doris.

The photo was probably taken by Ethel's husband, Bill James.

I have always thought that family portraiture may be considered the essence of photography.
This lovely image reveals the true magic of this art, its relation to time.
