Its been a day of early 'April Showers', that is, one of bright sunshine the one moment and heavy downpours the next. Went down the road to photograph a cherry blossom tree when I noticed this yellow jacket shining through the vegetation. Had to have a look...

Glad you caught one of the sunny moments, Ray! This looks precarious... The wires converging to the pole really draw the eye into the action. Nice colors! What would this have looked like in the downpour?

This all works very well for me...the deep blue sky contrasting with the green coat and the lines radiating out from the pole. Nice shot.

Where I come from, this coat is what the ambulance workers and paramedics wear. So I was looking at your thumbnail wondering what terrible thing could have happened to a utility pole! This is a great shot -- I love the composition.
