January 11 2004:
Nowhere to Go

I've just had to send my new hi-fi back to Empire Direct because its not working properly. When I was packing it back into the boxes I came across these leads which I only need for the casette deck.
Somewhat inspired by Nikki's Lavender picture which I thought were sawn off wires, I put these under the spotlight today. They are sitting on my lens cloth, up until now only used for my camera and spectacles!

You know you're a good photographer when you can even make hi-fi cables look good! I love how you use light in your photos.

Great macro shot, Ray. I like the subdued lighting.

Ah, and there was me thinking it was a macro of a flower!!! ;)
Good effect with the lighting, and an interesting macro!

Good shot of the phonos.

Nearly everthing has to "go back" these days.

Pall, I declined the kit lens as I was advised that its quality was slightly below par. I'm using the Canon EF 28-90 USM that I had already. I will need to get a similar lens, perhaps of a wider angle - I still take slides also.

Well done Ray !
BTW - did you use the lens that came with the Rebel for this one ???

Ray, I wish I had seen this yesterday. I had tried and tried to get my turntable to play, thinking it was broken, until I finally figured out the leads weren't attached to the receiver (I had recently relocated the system across the room)! Excellent photo, by the way!

How did you take the picture of the studio if the camera was on the tripod? Signed, Confused in SF
