Blackrock, Dublin
My mum's cousin I met for the first time.
My mother's uncle was 'posted' from London to Dublin around 1913 to head up a new office to sell 'Underwood' typewriters, and he later met his wife over there and settled down, having six children.
My brother, cousin and I were invited to visit this being the first meeting of the English and Irish sides since 1948. I was thrilled to meet Marjory and her two sisters (as well as a son) and was amazed how well they looked, being between 84 and 88. They were sharp, smart and still drove a car safely!
