Adal recently asked in the forum if there are any cool photographic possibilities at Covent Garden in London. Well, this is usually my priority when visiting central London – so much so that I’m getting a little worried that I’m neglecting other facets of this wonderful city.
So here we are, a few photos taken one September afternoon there.
The old flower market hall, once depicted in the film “My Fair Lady” has now been given over to a craft market, cafes and a range of tiny shops. And don’t forget to visit the sunken area of the hall where classical musicians perform “for free”. In and around the hall you will see street entertainers of one kind of another, and some of these are in James Street, immediately north of the square. Special events are held in and around the hall, and on the day I visited, there was a French Market selling goodies from the Lot Valley.
