Duh, I forgot I wasn't logged in - that's why I didn't have the vote link ;-)

Thanks

Excellent. But, how do you get the colours like this? I would really like to know

Thanks

Great capture once again. Very nice composition and yet another example of how important a title is to the photo - this project is becoming a masterclass in the appropriate naming of pictures to "lead" the viewer along a cerrtain train of thought.

Really fits well into your project's theme. The composition is very compelling with the car entering the frame, and the continuity of the lines (on the car's side, the pavement, the lines on the building, and the power line). But it's the processing the transforms this into "urban melancholy." Well done!

well Chuck, where I live everything is closed on sunday.... it is depressive, really. From a urban point of view, of course.

great atmospheric image, and I love the colour balance. Nice work.

Craig's hit the nail on the head, as always - this has such a wonderfully bleak, desolate quality to it - if you can get shots like this from a moving car I'm hanging up my camera ;0) Vote

The nadir of depression ---- there are no spirits on Sundays and a hangover is fouler than melancholy.

Hey Chuck....Very Retro and works well in your series

Thanks all. I wasn't sure about this one...but living with it for a bit, it's growing on me. This is just something I saw from a moving car I was in and had enough time to aim and shoot before it was gone. I got off only the one shot. I'm going to go with that theory that "luck favors the prepared...." or whatever that saying is. This is downtown Chattanooga, TN.

Alem...it's funny you mentioned expecting to see something about "sunday" as that thought had never occured to me. I wonder how many other good ideas are out there waitng to be discoveries to me that are already seen by others?

Damn you Chuck! Would you quit posting these damn masterpieces. I want to stop photographing! . . . ok . . . I'm calmed down. Great composition and balance of elements. The car is perfectly placed with the driver looking out toward the camera. Also, the older model car gives it a classic 80's kitschy quality that goes perfectly with the background. Vote!
