Just love this shot. Great colours.

thanks for the comments...I shot this one with the Canon G2 at 4mp...so I think I'm going to go back and reshoot it with the 8mp so that I can obtain a higher res copy. I found this when out on a walk with the dog....actually I find many of my images this way now that I think about it.

Coming to this project is great. I see the thumbnails before I see the title and am always left wondering what the name you will have given it when I click on the picture. Although I have learnt this over and over, it is still a joy to see how your titles and the pictures are so symbiotic. OK - as for the picture, love it. I have seen this kind of picture many times (i.e. a door, locked) but in every case the colours are usually bright, cheerful and so forth. You as always however bring a unique view and is great to see something like this in the same mood and tone of melancholy. Composition is perfect as always. Particularly like the choice to crop very tight to the top of the handles which helps to accentuate the hanging of the chain. Even the positioning of the padlock (which I took for granted when I first looked at this) contributes to the whole picture. Love it.

Great comp. Processing is beautifully subdued and understated. I need to take a cue...

Ahhh...love this. Composition is brilliant. Closer is better. The processing is, as always, top-notch. I think the specks of white in the door really add to the overall appeal of the image. So many subtle things here. I would have named this "Affraid."

Agree with Craig - the textures and colours of the green make this interesting at a purely visual level, but there's a desolate quality to it as well. Good stuff!

Very interesting composition.

Outstanding composition, color, tone . . . and . . . tension.
