The Grass is Greener on the Other Side of the Fence

View from the Ridge Trail

Taken in the spring when the hills were still green. This pasture is located about 2/10s a mile from the Old Borges Ranch. The cattle get rotated in different fenced area. Most are cows, calves & steers. Been several years since I have seen a bull. Incorporated area of Walnut Creek can be seen in the distant. Ridge Trail is the single track trail and the large fire road is Costanoan Trail. Bikes are allowed on the fireroad but banned on the single track.
Summertime the cattle are gone, the hills are golden color. (very dry and brown)
