Fogg Dam

Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve is part of the Adelaide River catchment approx 70km east of Darwin.
It is open all year round. One can take a look from the bird hides, do walks or drive up and down
the causeway (dam wall) like we did and use the car as a hide to get good views of some roadside bird life.

Middle of the day, traditionally one of the worst times for 'birding' I was still able to get
great views of Kingfishers, Jesus Birds (Comb Crested Jacanas) and numerous birds I'd not seen before.

We stayed at the nearby Eden at Fogg Dam Bed and Breakfast which was lovely in itself! The perfect
place for two recovering "sickies" from Melbourne to spend their first night in the Top End.
