We spent four days in Rocky Mountain NP in late September, camped in Moraine Park Campground on the eastern side near Estes Park, CO. The elk were present in large numbers, with bulls herding their "harems" and the sounds of bugling echoing across the valleys. The scenery was also spectacular, of course. I wish we could attach audio clips to some of these elk images to add the bugling, as that was a great part of the experience!
