We enjoyed a return fall trip to Yellowstone National Park, but this time we traveled through Rocky Mountain National Park and the San Juan Mountains of western Colorado on our way up to Wyoming. We timed our visit for the height of the elk rut in the Rocky Mountains and the peak fall aspen colors of the San Juan Mountains around Ouray, Silverton and Telluride. Between the incredible beautiful scenery and the magnificent wildlife, we had plenty to see and photograph! We hope you enjoy our favorite images from this wonderful trip.
