I think this is one of your finest ever images craig. The sheer frustration and tiredness of the lady just screams out. F***ing Brilliant.

Top image and a top title ..terrific image Craig
Guest 19-Apr-2007 06:28
Great sombre mood in here-- love the processing as well. Looks like she is suspended in front of a blue-screen, yet somehow still immersed in the scene...
Guest 19-Apr-2007 03:42
splendid work on this one - the mood you acquired with this processing by all means beats the real thing - V

Wonderful shot. I don't know how you get the focal point so precise and everything else blurred, but it's a fantastic effect.
Martha Albuquerque18-Apr-2007 22:22
Awesome mood and treatment! sublime work, my vote.

Still snow over there? That certainly is a reason to get resignated. Here in Vienna we had something like an early summer during the past week (convenient as it may seem at first sight, this is also a matter of concern, though).
Excellent image & title!

It's as if she is looking at an unpassable river,
wondering how she can get to the other side, looks like she has given up.
Nice image Craig and well processed too :-)

The red surfer!
Stu18-Apr-2007 13:47
Almost like the moment right after a big truck has gone past and soaked the poor lady. Her stance is a fantastic capture, and while I like the background it's the stance that is the element of it that is really grabbing me. Waitin' For Superman.

Hmm, before enlightenment ..chop wood carry water. After enlightenment ..chop wood carry water. I feel the drudgery and resignation of the everyday life..we all share.

Resignation seeing the weather, or the bitter life?
The processing makes the weather even more gloomy.
Michel CORBOZ18-Apr-2007 10:06
interminable hiver ! v
Faye White18-Apr-2007 09:50
excellent emotion
jude18-Apr-2007 09:37
She seems to be caught in some thoughtful reverie.. standing still suddenly waiting for something to make her move again.
Bill Harris18-Apr-2007 08:58
Still being brilliant Craig

I find this image so lovely and I agree w/ Lester the elements add to a feel of weariness. Beautiful. VOTED

I've been feeling like this since yesterday after the news of the massacre at Virginia Tech. The grey weather adds an extra measure of gloom to the calamity, as if Nature herself weeps. And for some reason, all I hear in my mind are the last words of Prince Escalus in Romeo and Juliet: The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head and all are punished.
Guest 17-Apr-2007 23:20
superb, nice treatment too
