A visit to these wonderful galleries is a fitting way to observe the anniversary of Bygaspo's passing, five years on. His work is indeed inspirational and he is still very much missed.
Guest 21-Aug-2012 22:38
An inspirational photographer; every gallery here is a delight. So sad that Bygaspo is no longer with us...

Anyone who can think of such a great and funny project as Frimpong's travels, much be a special person!
Guest 06-Mar-2008 06:43
Sorry to hear the sad news and my condolences to David's family and friends.
And thank you for bringing the Frimpong project to live which so many Pbase members like me, enjoy by seeing the bits & pieces of the little bear's adventure. It's always a nice thought seeing so many friendly, fun -loving people from different parts of the world, get connected & shared some great moments via this unassuming ambassador. It reminds us the world can be a much smaller place than it may seem.
Jim

My condolences to David's family and friends (especially the Frimpong staff)
It was every time a plesure for me to view at all the interesting places Frimpong was visiting with with his *father* David and the nice comments, it was such a great idea and I hope this idea will continue, my best wishes, Rosemarie :o)

Your sudden passing has left a community in shock with the realization that all of us have numbered days. Your work however is visible and well respected and through your work you have touched so many lives, and they are the better for it. I did not know you at all, but would want to be considered a friend, because friends share common interests and there is a lot to be learned about life in this process. Good bye friend until the ever after. Barry Moore - a fellow Pbaser.

I am stunned by this news. David... you left us far too soon. I wish I could 'see' through my camera the way you did, creatively and imaginatively. Your Galleries are pure genius. You were an inspiration. Rest in peace.
Ray :)23-Sep-2007 00:47
David, thank you giving the PBase such much fun and creativity. You showed that PBase is not just about posting pictures, it is about building a community spirit across frontiers.
Your photographs and projects will live on.

I was asked by David ( aka Bygaspo) friends,
who are not Pbase members to post a message here in his guest book
to inform all the people who would like posting here a note in memory of him,
who suddenly passed away last Thursday in front of his home in London UK,
that unluckily it’s impossible for guests to post here, since it’s reserved to Pbase members.
I know David would be glad for all the tributes of your friendly attention.
Thank you.

Bygaspo,

Thanks for the kind words about my Granville Island gallery. Nosed around in your galleries for a bit and enjoyed what I saw. Keep up the good work. . . .
Guest 07-Jul-2006 13:44
Thanks for your comment on one of my photos in my grab bag gallery. The bird in question is actually a mockingbird, but there are a lot of pigeons around, too. The mockingbird seemed very territorial with the statue; I'll have to go back to the Hirshhorn and see if he's (she's?) still there. I really like your infrared images--they are very dramatic.

Hi,
I run the London Pubs site athttp://londonpublichouse.com and recieved an email about your excellent photographs, well done - they look really good.
There are no mentions of coptright, but I always ask - if I use any of your pictures, and post a credit, copyright and link back to here, would this be OK? I understand if this is not acceptable. It should bring quite a bit of traffic your way, but ...

Thanks
Kevan

Hi, You have some nice pictures of my city Amsterdam; nice galleries. If you come back again, you might want to visit the western islands (prinseneiland, bickerseiland and realeneiland). You will make beautiful pictures here as well. The wooden bridges and houseboats in my amsterdam gallery are taking here (it's were I live). Thanks for visiting galleries.

Hi there, I surfed on into your website again after a while and I saw your new Amsterdam gallery, the adult one... the red light district is an area in which you should be really careful with making pictures. No one likes to be captured there, especially not the pimps and 'ladies'. To be honest, I hardly dare to make pictures in that area, even though I know it's a very characteristic neighbourhood. I appreciate your work, not because of the neighbourhood's intention but because of the way you captured this local 'realism'. Take care & greetings from Am*dam! - Menno

You're right, we saw many of the same places in Burma (Myanmar). I'm envious of a couple you got that I didn't, such as the ceremony of the boys becoming monks. We also have similar pictures of Nepal. Only one thing: the pictures you have of Bangkok aren't of Wat Po, they're of the Grand Palace, which includes Wat Phra Kaeo (Temple of the Emerald Buddha).
