While balloons were not in Deni's plan, they seemed consistent with her wish for a party atmosphere, and I'm sure she approved.
At the end of the celebration, on the spur of the moment, we decided to release the balloons to symbolically lift Deni's spirit to the skies . . . and to lift our spirits as well.
And so we did.
