I love the tree in this shot.
Very nice.

This is very good Mark, it reminds me of my trip to Belgium last year, I saw lot's of battlefields all looking very similar to this.

On this camera 5.8mm is equivalent to 35mm in 35mm format. Hence not much distortion.

The tree is just right both from a photographical and an emotional point of view.
Is this lens very wide? I was surprised to be able to see straight down five rows of stones. I don’t know what 5.8mm would be in 35mm Eqv.

Thank you all. I prefer the other one, though I like this. It looks so different in spring. The grass is brown now! Thanks, Larry.

John, I saw Jeanne's, felt like I was copying it a bit.

Funny Lisa, Rockville may as well be San Francisco for how often I get out there! :) And from your DC gallery I see you don't make it into the city often. It just seems sooo far.

Wonderful--and I love the tree. A very powerful place.

That tree doesn't belong there, but I think it really sets this picture a part... This needs to be framed, I LOVE IT! It's so different than any other cementary shots. Great eye Mark.

Good choice and composition for a black and white, Mark. We went there on our last visit to DC and it is a place that evokes a lot of emotion. You captured it well.

Very powerful image and excellent perspective.

Amazing tree and perspective. The tree adds so much, specially witout it's leafs in a cemetary - the feeiling is so much different than it would be in the spring (color) - great B&W theme!
