Sunset point is, indeed, a very good place to catch the late day light at Bryce Canyon (though in the Winter, Bryce Point is also exceptional). Looking toward the south from near Sunset Point, I was able to isolate the most interesting parts of some pinnacles as they caught the afternoon light – with the rest of the canyon in the background in cold shadows. I took several photos similar to this during the afternoon – and really couldn’t come up with a favorite to include in this gallery. This one won the coin toss.
