10/21 - "Hi Uncle Bob"

Dallas Arboretum, Dallas Tx view map

This is my niece Jaci and today we went to the Arboretum so I could take her 2 year photos. She had
been playing a bit coy with the camera all day so it was a real surprise when she popped into this
window at the Sod House, stared right into the camera, grinned and said "hi Uncle Bob". I will kick
myself for a long time for being that far away and stuck with a prime on the camera when she did it
but I still love the results.

Here is another from today:

If you kick yourself in criticism of this shot, I shall be forced to kick you! It's perfect, do not change a thing! I am convinced that there is no such thing as a homely kid in the Floyd/Williams family tree. Jaci looks beautiful- her family will love this and so will she when she gets older.

I think it's awesome. No reason to kick yourself. Love the comp. voted

I really don't see how this photo could have been done any better. Sometimes "bad luck" is really good luck. But more than luck made this photo as good as it is. GMV too.

Maybe it turned out lucky you had a prime. The composition of this one is, well, perfect. I love it! Great image, Bob, and the second one too.

Bob what on earth are you talking about!!!!!!!!!
This shot could not possibly be any better - and what a stroke of luck having the prime lens on.
One of the best portraits I've seen. HUGE VOTE!
