Stay Perfectly Still and They Wont See You

We parked under this guy without seeing him while we photographed a larger male bear across the road. Only when we turned to leave did we see him plastered against the tree trunk, unmoving. A nanosecond after that we saw momma in a large branch directly over our heads. We were in a bad spot and left. I believe they were fleeing the large male we had been shooting.

A tight situation, to say the least..
At least you got a shot and left safely.
Your encounter brings back an in counter I once had while fly fishing on a stream in Idaho. I was so in grossed in my fishing I neglected to notice a Black Bear on the far bank looking at me, I slowly backed from the stream and beat feet to my truck.
