Along with Spandau Ballet, the Duranies led the UK's 'New Romantic' scene of the early 80s...big hair, big make-up and silly clothes, but completely danceable synth pop tunes some of which have somehow stayed fresh over the years. This one in particular stirs happy memories :o)
And where would we be without flash memory? It's kind of fun to look through back issues of computer and photography mags to see what was top of the pops a few years ago - the oldest mag I found lurking chez moi was a PC Advisor or something from 1999 (god knows why I kept that) which was carrying adverts for PCs with "huge storage capacity of 20GBs" with upgrades available to "a massive 40GBs" for £100!!. It makes me laugh to read that now, especially since memory prices are coming down and capacity is going up. Despite the huge technological advances over the years these cards do fail, and it's always best to have several of these bad guys in your camera bag or pocket just in case the inevitable happens. Of course, you may also want to have several at hand to satisfy your extravagant photographical needs as well :o)

Nice shot of this indispensable card. The first digital camera I used was a Sony that used a 3 1/2" diskette. The quality was so bad, I remember crowing that film was unbeatable. LOL. Time sure has shown me a thing or two. :)
Doug, thanks for reminding, I need to get one! But I use four cameras, which one do I need?
Sony, Sigma, Panasonic, Olympus! Or should I get Canon? :) Please help me!
Yes, indeed!!! I'm a silly OCD photographer - I keep at least 6-10 cards (usually more) at any given time in my camera bag, along with numbered plastic holders (so I know the order in which I've filled up the cards, if I'm out on a shoot or a photo trip somewhere). We've certainly had major advancements over the years. Thanks for guiding us down a trip through "memory" lane. ;-)
