So, it’s a blizzard today... I decide I'm going to get that shot I've always wanted, so off I go to the Lakeshore (Lake Ontario). Snow is insane, drifts (4ft+) are even worse. Help out a stuck woman and drive her to her house (my good deed) on the return trip get stuck myself (in my 4X4) on the road!. Snow plow comes along and pulls me out of the drift(his good deed). I find a spot and wait, and wait then wait some more. 4 hrs later I've given up standing outside and take up refuge in my truck. At last bells and whistles and a west bound train (don't know what it is hauling as I never get to see it) comes. I know that I'm going to get sprayed by the snow but that’s ok I'm in the truck (passenger window down so I have a clear view). This shot was the 1 of 10 I took in my excitement and soon it dawned on me that I better stop looking through the viewfinder and do up the window. Yes, far too late. The locomotive disappears into a hailstorm of flying snow - most headed right at me... did I mention the window was down.
After I stopped laughing and dug out both the outside and inside of my truck, I called it a day.
On the way home helped out 2 more stuck people.
