'Sakura-gata' is the accepted name, with synonyms and spelling variations 'Aiden', 'Sakuragata', 'Sakura Gata'. It is an Indian (indicum) hybrid per the International Rhododendron Register and Checklist, although said by it to be derived from 'Tanima-no-yuki' also said by it to be an indicum hybrid but "perhaps better listed as a Satsuki". The plant is listed in Galle's Azaleas (and here) as a Satsuki hybrid.
