periclymenoides selection
This deep fuchsia periclymenoides azalea was discovered in the 1960s by Mrs. Rosa Cottingham of Efffingham, SC, near Flat or Creek-40 acre rock in Lancaster County, SC (today a state heritage preserve). The form has been sold for the past 10 or more years by Woodlanders Nursery in Aiken, SC, as just Nudiflorum Purple, named Flat Creek Fuchsia by Mike Creel, of Lexington, SC.
