He had been in love with her, when they were both so young…
He didn’t dare to declare his love directly.
She didn’t realize it
Or she was afraid to.
She got married to another.
He never got married.
Her husband died a few years ago.
They meet each other, every day, as if it was by chance, in a quiet sunny park.
They tell each other “Good morning (in Greek, of course) as two polite, old acquaintances.
Every time, when she leaves, he looks at her and tells himself
“Maybe tomorrow I’ll dare to tell her that for me she is always beautiful”
Tomorrow….
And he remains on his bench, letting the sun and his thoughts warm his heart up.
