Door to the Dungeon

On the east side 13th Century Five Sided Main Tower is door leading to what used to be the dungeon.
The door was a dded centuries later. The original door would have been in the floor of the chapel above the dungeon.

The green path shows that not many are brave enough to enter the dark dungeon beneath the earth. Great perspective to lead the eye to the dark doorway. V!

I was thinking this was a lovely walkway into the curious doorway until I read the description. Think I'll pass on visiting the dungeon, no matter how pretty the path!
