September 2

Welcome to the Paperless Age.

A selection of magazines for this week / month I subscribe to.
Amazingly, I manage to get through most of them.
Fanfare is the most difficult, and I'm glad it's a bi-monthly.

The Monthly Challenge for September is to post 30 images about what is important to us in our lives: friends, family, hobbies, cars, boats, houses, travel, etc.
I have decided to make my PaD Gallery part of the September Challenge.

Great collection of interesting magazines! Paper always has something magic even in this crazy digital age. As Raymond says, there is nothing like holding a book or a magazine in our hands.

You must be retired! Good idea.

I have my National Geographic sitting in my desk right beside me, unread, though, because I haven't had time since I got it. I stopped getting photography and tech magazines because I can't keep up with them. No time! Some are a bit expensive too, for what you get nowadays. People say that someday I'll be reading these digitally and I say never!

Fanfare looks similar to our monthly Limelight magazine, we wouldn't be without it even though most of the info can be found online these days!

I am a big magazine fan! I see some familiar titles. this shot also reminds me that I haven't bought the TLS in awhile. Very intriguing and nicely composed image.

I still get paper and would rather have it. So much easier for me and I can highlight things and bookmark them and all works. Love your selection!
LynnH03-Sep-2010 01:53
I don't have the attention span necessary to read books, so I read magazines too. I like some of these!
Jeff Lobaugh03-Sep-2010 01:49
I truly admire people who can find/make time to read.
Bill Ewart Jr03-Sep-2010 01:02

Long live the magazine! Absolutely love magazines but I am afraid they will become a thing of the past. You have a good assortment of reading material there.
Mary Terry02-Sep-2010 23:50
Nice variety! I haven't had a magazine subscription in a long time.
Barbara Heide02-Sep-2010 23:19

No more than three a month for me with all the Pbasing ;-)
Sam Stevenson02-Sep-2010 22:44
I only get two of these (NG and OP) and the only one I can keep up with is OP - kudos to you for going through all of these!
pkocinski02-Sep-2010 22:31
You truly are amazing to have enough time to read all those each month, organize the photo group out there and take all the images you do and comment :-) Nice shot!
Raymond Ma02-Sep-2010 21:58
A nice selection Walter, I can see you are a well rounded Renaissance man. I agree, there is nothing like
holding a book or a magazine in hand while sipping a beverage. Reading off a monitor just doesn't cut it. V
Simon Chandler02-Sep-2010 21:54
