NOAA/NWS reports 2004 to have been one of the coolest summers on record,
especially in the lower 48, where the temps were 16th coolest overall
and 7th coolest for August. No kidding! So many times we invited friends
over for a swim, only to see them timidly dipping a pale toe into the water
and shrieking their way back to the lounge chair and a blanket.

But we did manage through the rain drops and the unseasonably cool temps
to get some fun, if not sun, in this summer. These photos were taken
over several different excursions to the pool.
