We were taking care of this parrot for whole week :). His name is Dusty. Patryk loved to have him on his shoulder. Despite how it looks on this shot Dusty is a gentle bird :)

Alina, this is absolutely wonderful! The hi-key affect is perfect and your captures always have such a life affirming warmth to them, this NOT being an exception ;-) I haven't seen the color, but Phil is certainly spot on in complimenting the POP in your B&W treatment. This one made me wince, because my Lesser Sulfur-Crested Cockatoo once punched a pencil-sized hole in a friend's earlobe. There was blood everywhere! And it was odd because he really liked my friend. Something must have startled him. Beautiful photo - love the boy's eye.

The black and white version, because of its contrast, not only makes the bird seem more prominent than it was in Sepia, but the black and white version symbolically enhances the startling contrast between the species as well. The sepia version made the image look as if it was made sixty or seventy years ago. Much improved, Alina.

Wonderful human values and incongruity, Alina. Try it in black and white -- it will add a sense of immediacy to the image. The bird really "pops" in black and white. (In Sepia, it looks like an very old picture, which is not the point here.)
