A few million digital cameras have shot this subject. Being aware of this, I still could not resist.
This shot is made approx. at 1.05 am when the normal lighting is switched off and the tower is illuminated by flares which fire at random places for a small fraction of a second. This proceeds for around ten minutes and after that the tower is switched off until the next evening.
BTW . . I always thoughtht etower stayed lit from sundown to sunup . .I had no idea ther was an 'interim' period. Guess the French have to save energy too sometimes
you shot this at only 1/10 of a sec??? And still got all those little flashers of light that only go off sporadically for a moment?? Prety snazzy capture . .or did you coposite several pix toget ALL the lights? Either way this is a really cool idea =)
This is just beautiful! I never knew that they lit it this way. How wonderful that you stayed up so late to catch this! Who cares if a million others have shot it too? The important thing is that YOU did!
