Love Will Tear Us Apart

When the routine bites hard
And ambitions are low
And the resentment rides high
But emotions won’t grow
And we’re changing our ways,
Taking different roads
Then love, love will tear us apart again

Why is the bedroom so cold
Turned away on your side?
Is my timing that flawed,
Our respect run so dry?
Yet there’s still this appeal
That we’ve kept through our lives
Love, love will tear us apart again

Do you cry out in your sleep
All my failings expose?
Get a taste in my mouth
As desperation takes hold
Is it something so good
Just can’t function no more?
When love, love will tear us apart again

Joy Division

(The song I've heard more during the summer of 1984... those were the days of 12" promo records :))) It was a unique summer, one that I will never forget, because I've dreamt and saw the future)

Wow Ana, I just hit this gallery randomly and found this. It has always been one of my favourite songs. Anyway, such a great image - the light is great but it's the composition/angle I really like. Brilliant!

I'm writing you from the city where this song was born. Looking around it's not hard to see why...

This picture is monstrously powerful and perfect in every respect.

Wonderful powerful!!! You are daring and put so much of yourself in your photos. They always make me stop and think and delve deeper within the image and myself.--Rene

This is a result of your extreme and adorable sensibility
and the talent to expose it by an image combining with poetry.
Million votes if I could!!!

I don't know about Joy Division...! This looks like a full blown Lorca tragedy to me! Incredible composition and lighting.
Guest 07-Feb-2006 02:09
Stunning, Ana. Great, moving composition. Your hand seems to be giant... And your eye speaks...
Guest 07-Feb-2006 00:24

Very powerful Ana, like the hand itself becomes the portrait; a stretch for a grip on something alreday lost...a massive image. K

The ink falls.Drop by drop.As insidious as mould of complacency, defacing our paper hopes.Do you dare remember any of those shoebox pledges? From those brighter days when our voices were as poetry upon the pages of our wedded daynights? Or have they faded to a forgotten funeral beneath shadowed ignorant ashes?Lost desires, dying as prisoners in a crypt, like ourselves.Confined together as corrupted intentions, serving a sentence of alien security, of loneliness. As wounded cries flare for liberty above the ears that can neither hear nor see above the senselesness of it all.

...Hart to say anything..u know exactly why.......
Looking at it with a photographic eye, i would say it has dinamicy, great angles, interesting lightnening, and + that special dramatic look of u, what makes us feel u threw the photo...
Looking at it, as Agnes,21 years old girl, who has that conneciton with u...what we have....Its much more wierd, and scarry, but also touching and has deep affect on me...

....than personally...

jude05-Feb-2006 21:27
your composition is so edgy and daring.. I love that your eye is just in the bottom right part.. it adds to the hand reaching out in need.. it has a plea to it..
ltolksdorf05-Feb-2006 21:03
Very powerful and disturbing ... .
Guest 05-Feb-2006 19:38
I remember the "Joy Division", if I´m right I used to listen in the 80´. It was a nice band, I believe they are no more.
The poem ever add something to the picture.
I like both.
Abraço,
jorge
