OK, not literally, perhaps. But when the annual Sydney International Boat Show is in town and the temporary marina goes up, and the boats are parked (moored, whatever; like I'm ever going to need to know the difference) cheek by jowl, you can pretty certainly get from one side of the harbour to the other over the normally wet bits without getting your feet too damp.
The show is held in the middle of winter (for reasons that I can't fathom) each and every year. In fact, the web site has the projected dates for 2020 on it.
Here's a thought to ponder; we used to have an international motor show every year. However the car manufacturers brought that to a head a couple of years back declaring that Australia wasn't a large enough market to justify a Sydney show and a Melbourne show every year, so we now alternate; we have a motor show in both cities only once every two years. And yet... a boat show, every year.
Hmm, I wonder what the mark-up is on selling cabin cruisers...
A couple of boats which aren't for sale... on the right just beyond the first walkway you can see Pink Lady, the yacht that teenage sailor Jessica Watson used in her solo around the world voyage. On the far right you can see the stern of the steam tug Waratah (1902) which already graces my Sydney Maritime gallery, and will have a couple of new shots there in the next day or two.
