Borromini Baroque Staircase (scala elicoidale)

Series: Places I love.

The young Francesco Borromini is supposed to have participated
in the design of this Baroque helicoidal staircase in the early years of 1600
assisting his uncle, the Barberini's architect Carlo Maderno.
What an "assistant".

Palazzo Barberini, Roma.

Note: another creative interpretation in Visions of a Stairway II
