No, I'm not on crack, not yet. Just toying with the idea of installing a NOS 917-30 gearbox BEHR oil cooler https://pbase.com/image/135151400 in the rear trunk https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/135151405 of my 914-6 GT https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/135151407 to provide cooling to a 916 gearbox https://pbase.com/image/135151965. If I do this, it must retain that "PORSCHE LQQK", or forget it! Any other ideas?

Another thought would be to install the 917 oil cooler at a slight angle towards the rear middle-edge of the GT lid, just a bit above the surface and also using a small air-scoop to catch some air. Since I would have to cut the rare and very expensive factory balsa reinforced GT trunk lid, maybe this may not be a good idea. I do know for a fact there is plenty of good airflow over the rear trunk lid of a 914. I shot some awesome video from a rear lipstick camera placed on the Lufthansa 914-6 GT while at Rennsport III in Daytona. You can clearly see the GT rear trunk lid of the Lufthansa car sucked down by the air pressure!
