Home Sweet Home

November 8

Home

I often get so caught up in the mundane day-to-day aspects
of life that I forget the many blessings in my life. This
house was the culmination of several years of dreaming &
designing after April & I purchased this land. I often
leave home in a hurry to grab a shot or two on the way to
the office and come home after the sun has set. It is
moments like this one that remind me of why we originally
fell in love with this site.

TECH NOTE: This was such an extreme lighting situation that
I took two exposures (about two and a half stops apart) and
put them together as two layers to blend them.

This home is so beautiful! My husband and I have been wanting to purchase a new home. A house in this kind of area would be absolutely perfect. I'll have to show him this picture and see what he thinks. http://www.herberthomesinc.com/available-homes/

Very interesting design!!! And I sometimes use that two shot merging technique too in extreme lighting situations!!! It gives the pic a surreal look doesn't it!!!!!!

Fabulous, dramatic shot and excellent PS work! But more importantly, what a wonderful tribute to a dream you and your wife made a reality! Beautiful home and surroundings!
Guest 09-Nov-2005 01:05
Scott this is fantastic in two ways first and foremost as your home and dreams realized then as a photograph. The image you created has so much atmosphere from the light and colors! I love it and need to vote : )

You are truly blessed, and it is obvious you do appreciate your blessings. Your home is lovely and I especially like the lighting on the ornamental grass on the right.

Scott, this is fantastic! What a lovely, lovely dream home. The shot has such depth; the silvery, gray clouds just above the middle of the house send the eye into the future and imagination.
