Strange Timing

November 9

Nashville, TN

We have had so little fall weather here in middle Tennessee
this year. One little week long snap so far. Other than
that it has been very warm. It has been warm enough in
fact to fool some plants into a second bloom.

Hand held, converted to B&W in PS CS using Channel Mixer in
Monochrome and adjusted slightly with Levels.

A wider view...

Love the B&W. (Freakily warm here also, although we've been warned to expect a very cold winter.)

Normally I like a little context in a picture. This time I prefer the closer view. It's almost graphic in it's simple tones and composition.
Faye White09-Nov-2005 17:44
Same thing here, Scott. Lots of things are trying to bloom - in November! This is wonderful - love the B&W.
Guest 09-Nov-2005 17:09

This is so pretty. Just a hint of blur throughout gives the flower a gentle & delicate feel....b+w is an excellent choice...gets my vote.
