Lantern

November 6

Home

After a good night of rain and wind, most of the fall color
is now on the ground. Anchoring the end of the wall in
front of my house, the Cornus kousa (Kousa Dogwood) is
one of the exceptions. It still glows by day while the
lantern glows at night.

Those are 4 great shots. Great colors and compo in the first, and the selective coloring in the second one, great work. Kind regards, Marc.

I love the little lantern with the hint of sunlight picking up the detail...guess it all has to end sometime, especially if you want more of the same next year.
Guest 06-Nov-2005 21:05
Nice composition Scott, we have the same problem with the high winds overnight and today leaves are all in the neighbors yard : )
Buz Kiefer06-Nov-2005 21:00
All of them are wonderful Scott. I really enjoy the arrangement in the top photo. It's a very fine image.
Al Chesworth06-Nov-2005 20:51
Main image, those leaves look as though they are on fire and are a picture alone.
The shafts of sunlight make it quite exciting. Vote.

Very nice warm colors. The leaves seem to be pointing towards the lantern.

A beautiful still life! Love the color & lighting and the contrast of textures between the leaves, the lantern and the stonework.
