Sweet Come Down

Office

I have been coming into my office for 14 months with
Dad's "empty" office next to me since we lost him to a
brain tumor on 18 July 2009. Today I entered and began
to go through bits and pieces. This is one of his last
full designs @ his desk with his familiar drafting tools.

The twenty third piece of the puzzle for the September in My
Life Challenge

I'm drinking for you and me
singin' this song
hearin' your harmony..."

My sister did my parent's things, but I did it for 3 aunts who had no living children, even then, I found it hard. Your children will cherish this heirloom some day.

It must have been sad, but it looks fascinating with all the work tools still in place. A great shot too! Well done.

One of the hardest things to do, going through a parent's things. But as time passes we are Ble to smile and remember the happy times.

Oh, that is moving. Your words and the image. To look at where his hands touched and his work. That has to be bittersweet. A lovely tribute!

Very nice, Scott. And, it is good to see that he still used the drafting tools. So many are using the computer to do all of this.
